Craig Clifford MD, MS
Chief Academic Officer
Dr. Clifford earned his M.D. at Rush University, followed by a highly competitive transitional internship within the UCLA medical system. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Studies and a Master of Science in Chemistry from University of Illinois - Chicago, where he participated in bench research focused on developing HIV treatments, and where he enjoyed working as an undergraduate lab instructor in the Chemistry department for several years. Dr. Clifford joined Ohio School of Phlebotomy in 2012 bringing his expertise, scientific knowledge, and experience as an educator to assist in curriculum building of our CCMA and EKG programs. Dr. Clifford currently oversees the development of OSP intellectual property.

Bronte Clifford BA, CPT
Executive Director
Having received her undergraduate degree in Mathematics at the University of Washington in Seattle, Ms. Clifford has an extensive background in clinical research, project management, and data analysis for organizations such as MathSoft, Inc., University of Utah Division of Medical Genetics, The Ohio State University James Cancer Hospital, Nationwide Childrens Hospital and the Center for Perinatal Research. Ms. Clifford acts as Executive Director of Ohio School of Phlebotomy, Inc,. as well as Director at our 7 sister schools. Her belief is that everyone deserves access to affordable, quality education and her commitment to bringing this mission into every community began over 12 years ago when she opened the first school in Columbus, Ohio.

Emily C. R. Witt, M.Ed., CCMA
Chief Administrative Officer
Emily completed her Bachelors of Science at The Ohio State University in the College of Education and Human Ecology and attained the credential of Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through Ohio School of Phlebotomy in 2012. She holds a Masters of Education in Adult Education from The Pennsylvania State University. Emily manages adherence to academic standards and oversees compliance with school and state policies at Ohio School of Phlebotomy and its sister schools. She is passionate about medical education and seeing each student develop their skills to become a talented medical professional and integral part of a medical team.

Nathaniel Flannery
Community Development Administrator
After working in business management for many years, Nate chose to change his career and gained his EMS/EMT certification in 2012. Nate worked as an EMT, responding to 911 calls and transporting patients, before joining the Indiana School of Phlebotomy team as a Campus Coordinator in 2016. Nate has since used his passion for advocacy to improve student experiences and build business relations within our community. Because of this passion and hard work, Nate has become an integral member of our administration team as the Community Development Administrator for all of Ohio School of Phlebotomy Affiliated Schools. Nate is dedicated to working with our community partners to provide more educational opportunities to our students and manage those partnerships to foster growth and access to education within our communities.

Chaletta Varner, CPT
Substitute Instructor
Chaletta began her medical career as a Certified Medical Assistant in 2001 with a primary focus in phlebotomy. Working in a variety of clinical environments including physicians offices, hospitals & nursing homes for 15+ years allows her to bring great experiences to students wanting to learn phlebotomy. Her most recent experience as a float Phlebotomist at LabCorp allowed her the opportunity to train new phlebotomists on the job and to work with OSP students in their externships.

Melissa Vanderpool
Associate Academic Officer
Melissa has nearly 18 years of health care experience. She received her diploma in Medical Assisting in 2001 from Sanford-Brown College. Since then, she has worked as a MA in family medicine, surgery, and cardiology. After 9 years as a MA, Melissa realized her true passion was phlebotomy and chose to narrow her focus. She has worked as a phlebotomist for the past 9 years performing biometric health screenings, insurance exams, health fair screenings, and pre-employment screenings. Melissa joined the KCSP team in 2017 with the goal to change the face of healthcare one student at a time. She endeavors to give each student the skills and knowledge to provide not only outstanding patient care but also outstanding customer service. Melissa teaches with compassion and instills confidence in each student.

Lisa Wright, A.A.S., CPT
Instructor
With over three decades of experience as a Medical Assistant, Med Tech Assistant, Paramedical Examiner, and Phlebotomist, Lisa brings a wide breadth of experience to the classroom, where is a caring and attentive instructor who is passionate about seeing students develop and fine-tune their techniques and skills. She enjoys teaching because she knows her students can take those skills into the field and begin working in their careers with confidence. She holds an Associates in Applied Science in Cardiovascular Ultrasound from Sandford Brown College and a certificate in Medical Assisting and is a certified phlebotomist through the National Healthcareer Association. Outside the classroom, she is also a paper crafting artist.

Kara Beauford, CPT
Externship Coordinator
Kara began her career in 2007 as an office assistant for a local practitioner. During her time there, her potential to be more hands-on was quickly noticed. She was then introduced to the world of Phlebotomy and has never looked back! Kara is an expert phlebotomist with over 10 years of experience under her belt. After teaching phlebotomy with OSP and engaging students in the classroom, Kara has moved into the position of Externship Coordinator where her experience in the field and teaching can be utilized to help students succeed in their career training through externship placements that are a good fit for each individual.
Rebecca Thomas, CCMA, CPT
Chief Operations Officer
Rebecca comes from an extensive background in patient care management, long-term care, pain management, and wound care. After 12 years of focusing on those areas, Rebecca decided to expand her skills by taking both the Phlebotomy and Certified Clinical Medical Assisting courses at Ohio School of Phlebotomy. Since then, she has worked as a full-time paramedical examiner and has enjoyed offering outstanding care to her patients. She also worked as a substitute instructor for OSP and leads instruction for many of our off-site learning opportunities. Rebecca quickly became the Campus Coordinator at the Ohio Campus and has since moved into overseeing operations as the Chief Operations Officer.

Eric Hatfield
Instructor
Eric Hatfield, AS, CPT started his medical career as a student at The Ohio School of Phlebotomy and after working as a phlebotomist for 5 years has returned to the school to be an instructor. Eric has been helping train new phlebotomists on the job for several years and loves imparting his practical skills and knowledge to new students. He believes in a hands-on approach with a focus on building muscle memory through performing repeatable processes that will give students the confidence to succeed in a fast-paced and competitive work environment. He is also currently pursuing a bachelors degree at The Ohio State University in Microbiology and has worked in specimen processing in a respected medical laboratory.
Amanda Blankenship, CCMA
Instructor
Amanda started her career in the medical field in 2009 working as a medical assistant in a private OB/GYN office and volunteering with multiple Ohio foundations supporting the survivors of physical and sexual abuse. After gaining her CCMA from the National Healthcareer Association in 2016, Amanda began her current role with OhioHealth. Since then, she has gained a wealth of knowledge, working in the urgent care system, labor, delivery & postpartum, and preparation for a surgical operation. Amanda is currently pursuing her Bachelors of Science, so she understands how intimidating it can be to learn a new skill, because of this she works diligently to instill confidence in each of her students to succeed not only in her class but in their future healthcare careers.

Felicity Rennison, CCMA
Campus Administrator
Felicity worked in retail management for several years before completing her phlebotomy course at Ohio School of Phlebotomy in 2016. Following the completion of her program, she worked as a phlebotomist for institutions such as the America Red Cross and Adena Regional Medical Center before pursuing her CCMA certification. After successfully gaining her CCMA credential from Fortis College in 2018, Felicity gained experience in pediatric care at Nationwide Childrens Hospital. Felicity is passionate about healthcare and is excited to assist prospective and current students make their way into the medical field by overseeing school growth and operational quality standards for Ohio School of Phlebotomy and its network of sister schools.
Leslie Reynolds

Leslie has worked as an STNA and Diet Tech for over 10 years, as well as a PCA at The Ohio State University in both the Cardiac Unit and as a Float. Her love of drawing blood and working in the lab led her to also perform contractor services to expand her clinical practice over the five years. She loves helping patients and giving them the information they need to care for themselves better, and brings that dedication to the classroom where she is passionate about sharing the knowledge that she has gained over the years and seeking the look of excitement on a student`s face when they learn something new. She is currently working toward her Bachelors degree in Health Science and hopes to pursue a Masters in Public Health and Healthcare Education. She is passionate about promoting accessible and affordable healthcare for all and enjoys reading, roller skating, swimming, and cooking in her spare time.
Zafar Syed, M.B.B.S., CPT

Zafar completed his medical degree of M.B.B.S from a Foreign Medical University and currently he is studying for his Medical Boards (U.S.M.L.E) for M.D and attained the credential of Certified Phlebotomy technician through Ohio School of Phlebotomy in 2015. Zafar has a strong background of clinical knowledge and skills which includes an understanding of Physiology, Pathology, Immunology, Anatomy, and clinical procedures in both inpatient and outpatient medical facilities. Zafar is an experienced instructor, he finds tremendous satisfaction in helping students be successful in their desired career path. He has served his duties in different health care positions in the field of Medicine, Surgery, Clinical Research, medical assisting, phlebotomy and EKG. Zafar is currently working as an Urgent Care as a Team Lead/Lead Trainer. He is passionate about medical education, he believes every student is unique and deserves a caring, inspiring, and engaging atmosphere in which to grow emotionally, intellectually, and socially. As an educator, he wants to help students meet their fullest potential to develop their skills to become talented medical professionals.

Brandy Paige
Human Resources Generalist
Brandy Nicole Paige, MJ-LEL a skilled professional with a heart for service. Brandy is a proud Tulane University Law School graduate, with over two decades of Level III Criminal Investigative and Human Resource Management experience. She has served her community as an educator, mentor, advocate, business owner, and philanthropist. Throughout the decades, Brandy has continuously challenged ideas that seek to imprison and block people from living at their highest potential. It is Brandys firm belief that all people should have the liberty to pursue the best quality of life possible by having access to resources, education, training and career opportunities that cultivate an abundant life. Brooklyn Evans

As a Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant, with over 14 years of experience in diverse settings. Brooklyn has built an invaluable skill set, which has proven to be an effective asset to her community. Working with traveling physicians, specialty medicine, and family medicine has given Brooklyn a diverse array of knowledge and competence. Brooklyn has obtained an Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Development and Education. Brooklyn has an extensive background working as a Lead Medical Assistant, as well as the manager of the Electronic Medical Records Database, for a large hospital network. Brooklyn finds fulfillment and joy in teaching others what it takes to be successful in working in a health care setting.
